the [iron zen yoga] experience
iron zen yoga has been serving the Cambridge, OH and surrounding areas since April of 2023. Hope has a passion for sharing a practice that has brought true sense of peace and joy into her life. She began her practice at a local YMCA and during the pandemic dove head first into her training. She began teaching in September of 2021 and quickly knew that teaching yoga was unlike any other job she had encountered. She has worked in optometry for over 20 years as a dual licensed optician. Teaching yoga brought another way of helping people into her life. She feels her greatest accomplishment as a teacher is when a student conveys to her their ability to use yoga in their day to day life to find the calm within themselves. As Hope's career teaching yoga brought her back to Cambridge, she has had the immense pleasure of meeting and teaching with other wonderful yoga teachers.

Hope earned her 200 Hour teaching certification with many others during 2020. She shared before she found yoga, she never felt that her mind was quiet. Her thoughts were constantly racing from thing to thing. When she began to practice she discovered her mind would quiet. It was as if the "off" switch had been found. This sense of peace that overcame her became her driving force. She also began to find a sense of calm and direction off of her mat. This led to the desire to teach. Now, years later it is what keeps her coming back to her mat, and to teach, day after day. There is something to be said when a student shares how much their practice has helped them both physically, and mentally.
